The COCF has a part time Fund Administrator whose role it is to deliver a smooth application process for all applicants, whether organisations or individuals. They are active in setting up each new Panel for the Fund’s allocation process. The Fund Administrator works alongside Colonsay Community Council (CCC) and whichever councilor is acting as Fund liaison.

The Administrator collates the applications, reports and recommendations of each Panel and sends them confidentially to the CCC, so that they can ratify the Panel’s recommendations for funding publicly at their next meeting.

Please contact the Fund Administrator if you have any questions about the fund, are interested in making an application or would like to be on one of the Panels.
The Administrator and the Applicants
If you are interested in making an application to the fund, the Administrator can guide you through the process explaining what is required, provide you with an application form, and match you up with a ‘Buddy’ to support you through the application process if required.
Once you have returned the form, the Administrator will contact you explaining the next steps. These may include an in person meeting with the Panel, or a telephone call from a panellist, depending on the size of your funding application. The Administrator will also be able to tell you how long you can expect to wait until you hear if your application has been successful.
Once you have used your allocated funds, the Administrator will contact you to request a short report following the completion of your project. The sheet for that can be found here.

The Administrator and your funding/money/finance
Although the COCF works independently with a rolling panel and is overseen and audited by the CCC (colonsaycc.org.uk) it is the Fund Administrator with whom you will co-ordinate over how, and when, you receive your funding from COCF.

The Administrator and the Panellists
If you have volunteered to be on the Fund’s allocation panel, the Administrator will contact you with when the next panel will sit, and explain what is required of you in your role as a panellist. The Administrator will also provide you with helpful guides to the process, including any paperwork that you may need. If for whatever reason, you are unable to be on the panel at this time, the Administrator will take a note of this, and can invite you again at a later date.

The Administrator and the website and social media contributions
The Fund Administrator administrates the COCF website. So if you have comments, photos, videos or a report about a COCF funded project that you have been involved in, please contact them using the details at the bottom of the page.

The Administrator also posts regular updates on social media, so please follow us on all our platforms to keep up with everything that’s happening with the Fund!

If you would prefer the information contained on this website in a paper format, the Fund administrator can give you a copy of the COCF pamphlet which has all the essential information on it. These pamphlets are also available at the Service Point, The Pantry, Shop and Hotel.
