COCF ‘Buddies’ and Specialist Support

For potential applicants who are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the process of funding applications, the COCF offers an optional ‘Buddy’ system. This is completely free, and won't detract from your application in any way. Provided by volunteers, it is in place to provide applicants with support and guidance. If you are interested in making use of this service, please contact the Fund Administrator, who's details can be found at the bottom of the page. They will match you with a ‘Buddy’, someone who is familiar with filling in forms, the requirements of the COCF application process, and may themselves have been a previous successful applicant or a member of a previous panel. Their experience will mean they are easily able to provide applicants with practical guidance they need, as well as moral support throughout the application process!

If you are happy to proceed without assistance, please fill in the appropriate application form and return it to the Fund Administrator. These can be downloaded here, but you can also ask for them directly from the administrator.

Specialist support
If your project is more technical, COCF will shortly have established a directory of community members with particular skills or knowledge who will be happy to talk your project and plans through with you. They can give you pointers or guidance or simply act as a professional sounding board while you firm up the project you have in mind into a cohesive application.
